Started off as a textile business, New Jarifashion was amongst the early pioneers in the sale and importation of clothing fabrics and garments for the Dar es Salaam market place.

Over the years, as its service proposition grew, so did its reach. The business started experimenting with more products and services in diverse market segments, including carpets, toys and other ancillary products.

Beginning in the 1980’s, New Jarifashion increased its focus on the furniture and furnishings segments with the introduction of a dedicated product line imported from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.

Right from the onset, the business chose to focus on products of superior quality thus establishing itself as a household name in the supply of his quality furniture in Dar es Salaam.

With the proliferation of trade and business in the early 90’s in Tanzania, the business started its next chapter under the trusted stewardship of the Family’s Second Generation.

New Jarifashion grew rapidly from a small single store business to a multi-store business with warehousing needs, supplying both the retail and wholesale furniture markets all over Tanzania and strategic business partnerships from China in the East to Brazil in the West.

In 2016, yet another chapter of the business began in earnest as the business ventured into the manufacturing space. The business invested in a state-of-the-art panel processing factory, allowing it to manufacture fibre board furnishings, on-demand, in Tanzania.

This was soon followed by a further investment in the wood working and metal fabrication space, allowing it to provide turnkey solutions for the most diverse range of furniture and furnishing products in Tanzania.
